Occupational Therapist - Part-Time

CANOE is seeking a part time (up to 35hrs/wk) licensed occupational therapist to join our dynamic team. We are a small locally owned practice in Lakewood, Colorado with pool locations in Englewood & Littleton. This role offers unique opportunity to provide outpatient occupational therapy through aquatic therapy & learn to swim interventions. If you are passionate about empowering individuals to overcome barriers and maximize their potential in daily life, we would love to hear from you! If you were the type of person whose lips turned blue and had to be pulled out of the pool by your parents or are former swim team members, this will be a great fit! 

No specialization or previous training in aquatic therapy or learn to swim interventions is necessary, we provide on site training. In order to work with our kids in the water, a therapist must be willing to go underneath the water (to model) and swim deccently themselves, in order to work with these occupations. If you're not confident in your swimming ability that is okay. We can also teach you that! 

Compensation structure is a tad different than other settings. Pay is per visit, fifty percent of reimbursement, with growth opportunities, up to sixty percent of reimbursement. This equates too at least $35/45min but up to ~$100/hr depending on the type of client, you are serving as well as the type of funding (Medicaid vs. Wavier vs. Private Pay) available. 

This is a make your own working hours position (within facility pool time parameters), but there is MUCH flexibility. 

This position does not include health or PTO benefits. It does include mandated paid sick leave (at minimum wage) as per the state of Colorado. Opportunities for paid continuing education as well.
