IMPORTANT: This is not a telehealth position. Therapy sessions are provided in person at community locations throughout Boulder; documentation and other administrative work may be completed remotely.

Ready for Action Therapy is seeking a creative, energetic pediatric occupational therapist to provide community-based services in Boulder, Colorado. This is an immediate opening with Boulder families ready to begin services.

Ready for Action Therapy offers a unique alternative to traditional clinic-based OT. Sessions take place in engaging community environments such as parks, playgrounds, climbing gyms, pools, and other movement-rich settings. Treatment uses movement, play, sensory strategies, and meaningful activities to help children build regulation, coordination, executive functioning, confidence, and independence.

Position Details

• Flexible, part-time independent contractor position
• Begin with approximately 1–3 clients, with opportunities to grow
• Therapist helps determine scheduling based on availability
• Community-based services throughout the Boulder area
• Compensation starting at $100 per clinical hour
• Additional paid time for evaluation documentation
• Support, mentorship, equipment, referrals, and administrative systems provided

Responsibilities

• Conduct pediatric OT evaluations and provide individualized treatment
• Develop functional, family-centered plans of care
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Communicate effectively with caregivers
• Coordinate with the practice owner regarding scheduling, treatment planning, and client needs
• Provide safe, creative, movement-based interventions in community settings

Qualifications

• Master’s or doctoral degree in occupational therapy
• Current Colorado occupational therapy license
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Interest in sensory processing, neurodiversity-affirming care, movement-based intervention, and outdoor recreation/adventure programming
• Strong communication, organization, clinical reasoning, and documentation skills
• Reliable transportation within the Boulder area
• Ability to complete required background checks and maintain professional liability insurance
