Occupational Therapist

Community Aquatics n’ Occupational Engagement’s (CANOE)® approach to occupational therapy may differ from the norm. Our job is to help you & your family get more tools in your toolbox so that you can do all the activities you need, want, or have to do in a day done! Our job is not to “fix” you, but to meet you where you’re at and work on skills or adaptations that YOU want to participate in you daily life. We also encourage challenging the “glass ceiling” in the disability community!

Open Position:

• Needing Friday Afternoon-Evening & Saturday for Aquatic Therapy & Learn-To-Swim Dual Service Shifts
• Option to work more days

Qualifications:

• Licensed OTR/L in the state of Colorado
• Be in good standing with DORA
• Deliver dual services: outpatient occupational therapy alongside water safety and learn-to-swim services.
• Committed to being a lifelong learner and provide the highest quality of care to patients and clients as possible.
• Love the water, could be in it for hours, and can swim.
• Can work independently after training

Compensation

• Pay is per visit, starting at 50% of reimbursement with growth potential up to 60% based on performance and tenure. (This varies based upon packages families buy. The least is $36/45minutes (equates to $40/hr) and the highest is ~$100/hr and these are base rates 50%)
• This is part-time W2 position.
• Opportunities for paid CEUs & all training for swim instruction is done in house through American Red Cross Standards
